The Best in NYC: Dun-Well Doughnuts

coconut + vanilla w/ sprinkles

You know what I kinda hate? When I haven't posted in eons, and I (like so many other bloggers) feel compelled to apologize profusely before even attempting to get back into the game.

Yea, it kinda sucks...

So, let's just skip over that whole thing, shall we?

On to the sweet stuff: Dessert at the famed Dun-Well Doughnuts. (Well, technically it's breakfast, but we all know that isn't quite true...)

traditional glazed + chocolate w/ peanuts

In case you didn't get the memo, Dun-Well Doughnuts is fast becoming the coolest doughnut shop on the block. (And, notice I didn't say "vegan doughnut" shop? That's because regardless of its vegan-ness, Dun-Well easily won the "Best Doughnut in New York" title. Take that, Mr. Bourdain!)

Personally, I love Dun-Well for a variety of reasons:

First, they make incredibly delicious vegan doughnuts [check!].

Second, they spell "doughnuts" in a non-annoying way (ie: not "donuts") [double check!].

Third, their adorable shop is old-timey and super-inviting [check!]

And fourth, their tip jar says, "Tip Cows, Not Vegans," which means that Dun-Well even has a vegan-friendly tip jar [infinite checks!].

In summation, if these pictures (and my very basic "likes" list) doesn't have you hopping the L train to Dun-Well Doughnuts asap, either you don't live in NYC, or I'm pretty sure you're a robot.

Dun-Well Doughnuts is located at 222 Montrose Ave. in Brooklyn.
Their hours are Tuesday-Friday from 7am-7pm,
and Saturday and Sunday from 8am-7pm.
They're closed on Monday (boo!).

  1. I LOVED Dun-Well when I was in NYC! I really need to start writing up my recent travels on the blog.

  2. You DEFINITELY need to start blogging about your travels - especially the NYC-related ones. I have a feeling you'll be introducing me to some new, fabulous, vegan stuff! PS Dun-Well is the best, isn't it?

Thanks for your comment - I love hearing from you!
